Uniform November is a platform that communicates, collaborates, and develops consultancy work in the humanitarian sector. For over 6 years Uniform November has helped position Frazer and like-minded colleagues as specialists that use the built environment, peacebuilding theory and practice to help address social and economic challenges in communities suffering from the effects of conflict and climate change upheaval.

UNIFORM NOVEMBER is a facility that offers:
  • The design of peace-building interventions using the built environment and everyday memories of violence as a key components 
  • Housing, Land and Property (HLP) expertise
  • Workshops on how the built environment imbued with memories of violence have a role in peace-building and social cohesion
  • Workshops on how buildings might be perceived as ex-combatants
  • Strategies of collaboration, connection and co-creating between stakeholders 
  • The Mapping of everyday buildings with a troubling past, acknowledging places that have social importance or cultural significance - developing ‘fabrics of place’ which are important locally and within a wider context of nation-building and social cohesion 
  • Analysis of contextual social dynamics and identifying areas of potential contention or post conflict flash points
  • Methods of memorialisation that purposely avoids blame or the positioning of 'victim versus perpetrator' rather focusing on the context in which violence surfaced and how to avoid it in the future.
  • Analysis of community conditions and explain the potential of networked people
  • Workshops on Smart City methods of mitigating risk of violence and Climate change emergencies  
  • Workshops in 'Design Thinking' creative problem solving 
  • Work shops in Building Reuse 
  • Post Conflict Research 
  • Mediation
